From roasting summer days to stormier tides, we love that the coastline of Devon can be enjoyed all year round. Snuggle under the blanket while you soak up the meditative sounds of the sea or slip into your swimwear for a dip. Relish in freedom as you pause to notice the small things in life: the heather-carpeted coastal walks, rugged cliff tops, sunset surfs and wind-swept hair.

Who doesn’t need a Portuguese bolt hole? Nicknamed as ‘the Hamptons of Europe’, Comporta is one of the continent’s most beautiful regions. Home to horse riding on white sandy beaches, browsing aimlessly through unique boutiques, admiring the landscape-inspired architecture, and participating in the daily consumption of a famous Pastel de Nata or two. We made an off-season dash here to capture the last, precious days of summer.

Greece is unique. Whether it’s the allure of the Aegean Sea; encompassed of crystal waters and biodiverse marine life, the groves of olive trees set amongst sandy beach tracks and minute villages comprised of Cycladic architecture- there is an island suited for everyone. Not to mention the abundance of ancient philosophical history that has quite literally shaped modern society as we know it today (the democratic birthplace of the West etcetera etcetera).

The North Coast of Cornwall is a breath of fresh air, in both the literal and metaphorical sense. From half-collapsed sandcastles to hibernating on the sofa, there is a fun to be had all year round. Tolcarne Beach Village is situated in Newquay, home to the famous Fistral Beach and Headland Hotel (the location for Roald Dahl’s ‘The Witches’ for all my fellow, slightly scarred millennials out there).
